	Welcome to our world of flowers!

	Farm “Bērziņi” began its business activity in 1991 as a family-owned enterprise, but in the autumn of 1993 it was registered legally. In the first years we grew wide range of the vegetables and the seedlings of vegetables. Due to the changes in the state of market in the middle of 1990s, we gradually re-orientated our activity to the growing of decorative plants – at first the summer flowers, later also perennials. One of the reasons for this alternative was the fact that we began to design and arrange the greenery, and the lack of the perennial plants was the one that we felt the most keenly. We also grow flowers in planter and pyramids, if ordered in advance. Our largest customer for a long time is the Municipal Administration of Ventspils, for two years it was also Liepāja.
	Now there are 1800 m² of seasonal and double-polythene greenhouses and 120-140 thousand of potted perennial flowers in the 4500 m² area in our farm.
	Nowadays the production of perennial flower seedlings is the most rapidly growing branch in our farm. We offer 300 - 450 different sorts of plants for sale, but there are over 800 in our collection. You will find tens of low, sun-loving plants for rockeries as well as over 2 m high shade-loving plants for growing at a pond side or in the shade of park trees. Assortment is increased every year. Also the investments of the nearest years are destined for the production of perennials.
	In addition, our farm is in two Dutch firms - A. Verschoor horticulture import - export "and" Jac Uittenbogaard & Zonen BV (JUB) representative in the Baltic countries. The first of them deals with a perennial flowering plants and rooted Clematis trade - both imports and exports throughout the world, breeding some species. The other is flowerbulb and tubers manufacturer and exporter company
